Drosera omissa (Pygmy Sundew)

$10.00

As the name suggests, pygmy sundews are a group of very small sundews about 1.5-2cm in diameter. The majority is endemic to Australia, and some in South America. They are very easy to take care of. They are famous for producing numerous tiny gammae in the center of the rosette. When ripe, they pop out of the plant when touched. A gammae is like a small baby plant and readily form an adult plant if you plant it on a wet peat/sand mix. Like the adult plants, keep them moist and warm under an artificial light. One downside to pygmy sundews is that they do not like their roots to be disturbed. For this reason, they will be shipped potted in a 1” x 2.5” square pot. We recommend potting the plant with the original pot within the pot of your choice. We do not recommend taking it out from the pot that the plant came with.
